South Galway GAA club Kinvara is running a monster auction on Sunday in the Kinvara Community Centre at 2pm to help raise funds for its new pitch development.

Galway hurling legend Gerry McInerney was on hand this week to officially launch the new Belmullet hurling club website www.belmullethurling.ie. The Kinvara native who won back-to-back All-Ireland medals with the Tribesmen in 1987 and 1988 said he was delighted to support a rural club that was at the heart of the community.

Kinvara GAA is hosting its second annual Kinvara Road Hurling Festival this June. This road hurling event, which proved a huge success last year, will be held from June 12 to 14, showcasing some of Galway’s finest hurlers.
